Course Description:

Welcome to this short course on scientific writing. Whether you are working on your first manuscript or your twentieth, this course is designed to help you write more clearly, more efficiently, and with greater confidence.

A large number of papers are rejected not because the science is weak, but because the writing lets them down. Poor organization, unclear paragraphs, and failure to follow journal guidelines are avoidable problems — and this course addresses all of them directly.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    • Identify common writing mistakes that lead to manuscript rejection
    • Organize your writing process into clear, manageable stages
    • Build well-structured outlines and paragraphs with logical flow
    • Revise your draft systematically for structure, content, language, and format
    • Use AI tools ethically and responsibly in your writing workflow

This course is delivered asynchronously. Each unit builds on the previous one. You are encouraged to work through the units in order and complete the quiz at the end of each section before moving on.
